Great 80’s Metal From Germany’s Best!5
If you don’t own any Scorpions Best Of or Greatest Hits cd’s than this is a nice collection to own. If you want to have a more complete collection then you’ll have to fork out more dollars for the two cd package called “Deadly Sting: The Mercury Years”. This Scorpions greatest hits cd has all their good songs from 1979’s “Love Drive” album to 1993’s “Feel The Heat”. Also included are two new tracks. The Scorpions didn’t make much of a dent in rock here in the U.S. until the 80’s (although they were popular in Europe and Japan). With the help of MTV with videos like “No One Like You” and “Rock You Like A Hurricane” the Scorpions became a household name. This 24-bit digitally remastered cd sounds great, much better than some other hits cd’s i’ve heard. Fans of groups such as Def Leppard, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and AC/DC, etc. will love this new collection. Five stars for song selection and sound quality.

Scorpions still sting!5
This collection is awesome! The two new songs are great & granted, “Deadly Stings” is better because there’s more of it, but this is great for the new & uninitiated. Anybody besides me tired of hearing people dog 80s bands? This is some of the greatest music ever & all they talk about is their hair! I guess that’s the “hip” thing to do nowadays. How ’bout being an original? THINK FOR YOURSELF & get this collection! Maybe you’ll realize what a jerk you’ve been for putting down things you’ve never heard! Music was a lot more exciting back then, I’ll tell you that. Now…if this will only turn into the best new Scorpions studio album in over a decade. In my humble opinion, they haven’t made a great album since “Crazy World” (not counting “Live Bites” which is awesome!!). It’s time, guys! The world needs you now more than ever! By the way, these guys are still killer live too! Saw them with Deep Purple & Dio & they rock!! The Wolf

The two new songs just rule!!!!5
Well, I just got this album, and here’s my review about it:
I don’t wanna say anything about the 16 first songs cos they’re not new songs, we all know that those songs are hits and ones of the best of Scorpions! so if you don’t know the Scorps, this will really help you know about their music! but what i wanna talk about is the two new songs: “bad for good”, and “cause i love you”. well, it’s been a few times the scorps were talking about a new album coming soon, and that will be a back to the roots album! well, those two songs seem to be samples from the upcoming ablum’ style! and this style’s just amazing! althought, musically talking, the scorps have released much more professional albums (pure instinct, eye to eye, moment of glory, acoustica), but weren’t really rock albums, a bit slower than the old scorps songs, but those two songs really join between the “on the top” music and the … rock songs! well, if this is the style the scorps are planning for the new album, it will be so good, although the last 4 albums i talked about are the best to me, but this style (bad for good and cause i love u) will satisfy all fans around the world! and still they’re not 100% like the old stuff, they really are homogeneous with the new rock music!!! also, about the recording! it just rules! the sound of the guitar is excellent, and also the drums!!!! and the arrangements are so cool (done by dieter dierks), especially on bad for good! thanks matthias for using your voice box on ’cause i love you! i really like its sound! and the way you play on it! keep on rockin’ scorps!!!!!! you’re just the best!

Let’s put this CD in Retrospect…5
Rush was recently on Rockline promoting this CD, and came right out and said they had virtually nothing to do with this CD, and that their record company more-or-less mandated its release. The first 100,000 copies printed have the limited edition DVD, which has nothing that isn’t on the Chronicles DVD. As a HUGE Rush fan, some previously unavaliable videos such as the newer ones (Driven, Half the World, Show Don’t Tell, Stick It Out, Roll the Bones, etc.) would be more of a “bonus” as far as I’m concerned, since you can’t get them anywhere. As a collection of music, it’s all good, that’s why I’m giving this a 5-star rating. However, if you’re already a Rush fan, it’s useless, since any self-respecting Rush fan owns whole-album sets and not just greatest hits. This CD is basically a record company marketing scheme. SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR THE LIVE IN RIO DVD THIS SUMMER! IT WILL FEATURE A BONUS BEHIND-THE-SCENES DVD AS WELL AS THE ENTIRE SHOW THEY PERFORMED DURING THE VAPOR TRAILS TOUR!!!!

Great songs here, but its all been done before!3
Released in 2003, this is the 3rd Rush compilation, and it contains 16 tracks.

As Rush dawned on their 30th Anniversary, their old label Mercury(Who they disbanded with in 1987) decided to release a compilation to commemorate the event. Taking songs off the many
Rush albums between 1974-1987, it manages to incorporate at least one song from each album released during that time period except for Caress of Steel, an underrated gem. Although this
album says “Greatest Hits”, none of these songs reached billboard success except for “New World Man”, which peaked at #16. Essentially this is a “Best Of” compilation, gathering up all the radio staples such as “Limelight”, “Tom Sawyer”, and “Subdivisions”(Really you can hear all the
songs on this compilation on the radio!), and adding in fan favorites such as “Time Stands Still”, “Distant Early Warning”, and “Force Ten”. The CD’s packaging is also quite nice, with a Booklet that tells all
about their CD’s and the singles on this compilation, and it proves to be quite an interesting read. If you are a fan of Classic Rock, I cannot recommend Rush enough. Making a compilation for the greatest band of all-time can prove to be quite a formidable task, so read on below to find out
how Spirit of Radio stacks up:

(By the way, thanks to Der Kommissar for the format!)

PROS:
ALL THE SONGS ARE CLASSICS-Without a doubt, every single song on this compilation are some of Rush’s best, and they will not fail to satisfy even the stingiest of tastes. If you are a fan of
Classic Rock, there is no way you cannot like this!

THIS RUSH COMPILATION IS CHEAPER THAN ANY OTHER ONE AVAILABLE-At
most CD Stores, you can find this CD for a mere 11.99$, which is basically a steal. The other Rush compilations, Chronicles and Retrospective 1 and 2, are more expensive.

PERFECT FOR A CASUAL FAN-If you just want all the radio staples without the fan favorites, this Rush compilation is for you!

INTERESTING BOOKLET-The cover booklet gives interesting info on all of Rush’s albums and each and every song on this album. One of the best booklets for a compilation(Other than Judas
Priest’s Metalworks).

Cons:

MISSING MANY GREAT SONGS- This compilation blatantly excludes “Bastille Day”, “Lakeside Park”, “By-Tor and the Snowdog”, “YYZ”, and many others. Most or all of those
songs I just mentioned are played on the radio in regular rotation, and they are all classics, so it’s a
shame they weren’t included.

DOESN’T COVER CARESS OF STEEL- Although Caress of Steel certainly isn’t Rush’s best album, this compilation covers all the albums EXCEPT this one, and they could have easily
added the songs “Bastille Day” and “Lakeside Park”.

NO SONGS FROM PRESTO OR THE 90′S CDS-Since this compilation only covers the CDs released on the Mercury label, you get NO songs off Presto or any of Rush’s 90’s material, which is just as notable as their earlier work.

FALLS FLAT ON ITS FACE COMPARED TO CHRONICLES-Compared to Chronicles, which mentions all the songs I wanted above, plus songs from Presto and Roll the Bones, and many more classic songs(“Something For Nothing”, “Anthem”, “Mystic Rhythms”, “La Villa Strangiato”, and many more), Spirit of Radio almost seems like an afterthought compared to Chronicles.

Overall, a this compilation gathers all of the most popular Rush songs, but omits many undeniable classics, and contains no material from the 90’s, therefore severely degrading it. What’s here is great though, and if you don’t want to spend more than 15 Dollars on a Rush Compilation, this CD is for you. ALSO, DO NOT GET THE RETROSPECTIVE CDS, THEY ARE RIPOFFS!THEY ARE JUST 2 OVERPRICED VERSIONS OF CHRONICLES! But if you are looking for a TRUE retrospective, this album is not for you.

RECOMMENDED IF YOU WANT A CHEAP RUSH COMPILATION, NOT
RECOMMENDED IF YOU’RE GETTING INTO RUSH, INSTEAD GET THE MUCH
BETTER CHRONICLES! Thanks for reading!

The Poets Laureate of Hard Rock5
I remember when Rush’s first album appeared on the Canadian music charts when I was in high school. It entered at #100 and 2 weeks later climbed all the way up to #99. This, I thought with my usual accuracy for prognostication, is a band going nowhere.

I wasn’t alone. When Rush were nominated for Best New Band at the Junos (Canada’s Grammy awards), they lost to the ever popular Myles & Lenny. Inexplicably nominated in the same category the next year, they lost again.

But someone was listening…

Rush toured and toured, putting on phenomenal shows, playing with ever-increasing virtuousity and writing the most intelligent songs in the hard rock genre.

They hold the record, by a wide margin, of most consecutive Billboard top 10 albums by a heavy metal act. Including Led Zeppelin.

Several reviewers have complained that the tracklisting for this set is also available on Chronicles, a 2-CD set. True, but this set isn’t for completists. The songs alone rate 5-stars, regardless of how often they are repackaged.

Ironically the song “The Spirit Of Radio”, for which the album was named, was the slogan of radio station CFNY in Toronto. The station played an eclectic mix new wave, punk, and obscure album tracks, not the big heavy metal acts of the day that Rush, rightly or wrongly, was categorized as being amongst.

CFNY never played Rush.

But most other Toronto stations did, effectively giving free advertising to a competitor.

Too Good For Words………5
I have been a fan of James Fortune since his debut, ‘You Survived’. I never thought that JF and FIYA could out do what they did on ‘The Transformation’, but then again, there are clearly no limitations on what GOD can do. Encore does just that. Musically, this CD crosses over into areas where only GOD’s select few can go. The musicianship and production on this album is simply astounding – add in anointed vocals, you get an explosive combination that will make you want to praise him for the GOD that he is. Literally, every song on this CD will make you want to dance, clap…praise – do something! You cannot listen to Encore and be still, nor will you be the same after you listen to it. It’s that good, and so is GOD.

Magnificent/Wonderful5
This CD is simply magnificent and wonderful. James Fortune did his thing as he normally does. The songs ministered to me and I simply enjoyed it. This is a must have CD.

Just listening to the samples was enough…5
Okay so I just found out that James Fortune and FIYA has a new project out. I didn’t think I was going to hear from them until like may-june-ish… I don’t have a copy yet(I’m getting one friday) and just by listening to the previews of the songs on this particular cd, all I can say is wow!!!! I mean I thought The Transformation was something but oh my goodness!!! (Keep in mind that all i have listened to is the previews) EVERY SONG??? Now I know that if you create a project with 10-12 maybe even thirteen songs where EVERYTHING was hot but 18??(Granted that the last track from what I heard was a testimony but it messed you up just listening to how everything went from the bottom of the barrel to the top of the mountain) And lets not even talk about some of the “special guests” thats on this project. Pastor William Murphy, Canton Jones, Anaysha Figueroa (Hope I spelled that rite lol) Zacardi Cortez, Issac Caree, just to name a few(actually there’s like three or four more so that would be a lot more than a few…lol) This is what elevation is all about. Giving God your best and “trusting in Him” no matter what the obsticles may be. James Fortune and FIYA does just that and it definitely shows. Oh yeah did I mention that this is a “Live” project??? I’m so done rite now. Please ya’ll purchase this cd! I don’t sing with him (would love to though…)but this is absolutely one of the best offerings regardless if you heard it a million times or if u just caught the first 30 seconds u know what to expect. God bless you James Fortune and FIYA and continue to keep blessing and be a blessing to us thru your annointing and your music ministry. I CAN’T WAIT TIL FRIDAY!!!! YESSIR!!!!!

Info on Your Razor Scooters

Scooters are well known and used almost every cities today. A lot of brands have wide scale of offers about their scooters… Why Razor scooters
Also known as push scooters or kick scooters, the Razor scooters were created by JDBUG at the end of the 20th century under the direct influence of a Swiss inventor, Wim Ouboter. Presently, Razor scooters are produced by Razor USA, a company based in California that has seen a great increase in sales over the last decade. It often happens to take the Razor scooters design for the standard image of folding push scooters in general, particular since the aluminum frame is a defining feature.

The brake consists of a hinged fender that is pushed down over the rear wheel. Easy to carry and store, Razor scooters can be folded and taken on the bus, on the underground or even in the trunk of the car. Razor scooters are produced in four model variants: A, A2, A3 and A4 or the Pro Model. There are four more but they are rather basic in design as it is the case with the AW that has just a wheelie bar. A model like AW125 for instance has the best suitability for adult usage. The largest of the Razor scooters presently produced is the Cruiser Scooter with 140 mm wheels, but you should know from the very beginning that there are no replacement wheels for this model.

Razor scooters have made a big name in free-style. More and more people start using the scooter in daring sports that allow one to have fun and enjoy adrenalin. The vehicles used for free-styling often include reinforcements because they need to absorb the shocks produced by the impact. The A4 or Pro model is generally preferred for freestyle because it has larger wheels and superior strength in the frame. The other Razor scooters A, A2 and A3 have a manual bar at the back, but lots of users have it removed for aesthetic reasons.

The material that Razor scooters are made of is airplane grade aluminum, meant to support a 1,100 pound load without the risk of bending. All the foldable models are also very silent thanks to the special design and material of the wheels. To recognize and respect the technical achievements of Razor company in the design and promotion of scooters, means to recognize their contribution to the worldwide development of a new sport and a new pseudo-vehicle to use in over-crowded urban areas.

Show Your Love with Initial Jewelry

Dating can be tricky in the modern age. Everyone insists that love can be found anywhere. Online, in the bar by your house, or even in your neighborhood. Of course, we have all hear the saying about plenty of fish in the sea. And through all those fish, people are seeking the One, who will be their lifelong love. And yet, what happens when you finally find that someone? How do you sift through the ocean of advice you get about wooing the person, loving the person and keeping the person? It makes it difficult to choose the right path in falling in love. In the beginning, jewelry is always a great little gift to show your attention. But don’t go out and buy diamonds just yet. Initial jewelry is a unique gift that shows how much you care. A little personalized present can be just what you need to show you’re besotted and you want to be with someone.

Jewelry with a person’s initial could be the perfect gift to showcase your intentions. You aren’t getting a full-blown engagement ring, which can be intimidating. And yet, getting something cheap or lacking interest will give the wrong impression as well. A personalized present shows how you feel without being overbearing. By giving gifts like initial rings instead of plastic rings, you have the chance to show your sweet side. Seeing their own name on the gift makes them instantly attached to it. This makes the gift meant only for them and exceptionally rare. This makes it more special than if it were a ring that once belonged to your mother or ex. It is a way to delve deeper into a relationship as well, since you are able to show in an adoring way that you care.

So don’t be bashful about giving gifts at all. True, while some may be outrageous ideas, others can be sweet and thoughtful, which are always appreciated. The main goal through gift-giving is showing that special someone that you care about them, and that you are willing to put forth an effort to make them feel loved. So if you want to give your lover necklaces with their names or initial pendants, jewelry can always be made unique, which makes it the best kind of gift. wedding gift ideas furniture shop

Epson SX400

Buying a new inkjet printer can be a challenge as its not as straight forward as you might think. Recent years has seen a massive increase in inkjet manufacturers selling printers at cost price and increasing the cost of the printer ink cartridges to basically trick you into thinking you can afford the printer. The Epson SX400 is one of many printers where the ink cartridges cost almost as much as the printer itself, luckily what the printer manufacturers didn’t foresee was third party companies offering cheaper alternatives to their over priced ink cartridges. These cartridges are commonly known as compatible ink cartridges and they offer the great print quality and print the same number of pages as the originals but in most cases cost half the price. This is the case for Epson SX400 ink cartridges which cost £30 in genuine Epson ink but cost £15 in compatible form. In terms of performance the Epson Stylus SX400 is a strong contender in its class, it offers a wide range of features all of which performs to either a good or excellent standard. The strongest of these features is its print quality which is better than anything in this its price range and produces great results for all types documents from text to high resolution photographs. It also has some novelty features like direct printing from memory cards which means there is no need for a PC, but the best quality results are to be had by printing off a computer. The Scanner and photo copier both work very well at the things they are designed to do and helps make the SX400 what it is – a versatile compact device with great value for money, when uses compatible inks.

my favorite rain and ocean recording – I play it all night long to block out street noise5
This is a beautiful and calming blend of rain, ocean waves and distant thunder. I turn it on in my office (next to my bedroom) to block out the noise from the streets of lower Manhattan. It works beautifully! And such a lovely blend of sounds. Highly recommended. And cheap!
